Nestled in the dynamic Frankfurt area of Germany, our small yet passionate manufacturing business thrives on a deep love for coffee. Our foray into the espresso realm introduced us to the Weiss Distribution Technique (WDT), an essential step in espresso puck preparation. When our search for the perfect WDT Tool turned up only 3D-printed or wooden options, predominantly from Asia, that didn’t meet our standards, we were compelled to innovate. Determined to offer superior quality, we created our own WDT Tool under the brand name end.game. Crafted with solid metal and precision CNC-turning, our first prototype in 2021 was just the beginning. After two years of refining based on extensive customer feedback, end.game is proud to unveil a WDT Tool that isn’t just a product, but a game-changer for baristas and coffee aficionados. The Weiss Distribution Technique (WDT) is a method in espresso making, mostly used by ambitious hobby baristas. A tool with fine needles is used in a stirring motion through the espresso grounds in the portafilter basket.
By applying WDT, you evenly distribute the espresso grounds and break up any clumps. WDT leads to a higher and more even extraction. 

‘endgame’ represents the point where an espresso lover has the perfect setup, needing no more upgrades. Home baristas will initially choose affordable equipment but soon learn that making the perfect espresso (‘godshot’) depends on both skill and the quality of their tools. Driven to excel, they upgrade their equipment gradually, with some taking small steps and others big leaps to achieve their ideal endgame setup.

No. WDT results in an even surface, ready to tamp.
Most experts come to the conclusion, that Espresso Levelers do not have any positive effect (other than a visually more appealing puck surface).

0.25 – 0.35 mm.
Hobby baristas around the world have tested different needle sizes. Most land between 0.25 – 0.35 mm to achieve best results. That’s why we include sets of 0.25, 0.30 and 0.35 mm needles. Try yourself and find the optimal diameter for your espresso beans.
Simply pull the needles from the tool with your fingers and insert new ones in the holes.
The needles are held by a strong magnet that prevents detaching when you use the WDT Tool.
